I have been thinking about my late grandmother and mother alot lately. Their love, support and spiritual guidance have inspired me to dream big, give big and grow big throughout my life’s journey.
My grandmother passed away October 2011. I know that she is leading choirs of angels in heaven right now.
When I lived in California, my mom, aunt, sister and grandmother were my “running buddies” (people I did everything with).
Aretha Franklin sings a very powerful version of this original classic by Paul Simon.
I can hear my grandmother whispering the refrain in my ear….”Don’t trouble the water, leave it alone. Let it be. Still water runs deep. “Yes it do.” Oh yeah.”
Now I am singing this song in my heart for you.
“Your time has come to shine. All your dreams are on their way….and I’ll be sailing right behind you.”
I love you Honey. I love you Mom, Aisha and Auntie Barbara. This one is for you.
